Thought of the Day

Don't Lose Your Flavor

by Evang. Catherine Davis on 05/04/14

Salt is a seasoning and preservative chemical but if it is left on the earth or exposed to the elements; sun, rain, and air it loses it savor and is worthless. Jesus said, "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot to men. St. Matthew 5:13.

So, are you salty or not? Or has your salt lost its savour. It is important to keep busy for God so you won't lose your flavor. Don't let the cares of this life make you lose your savour. Be a witness for Christ and hold up the blood stain banner for the Lord.

Who is God to You?

by Evang. Catherine Davis on 09/21/13

God said He would be our Rock; Our fortress for strength and safety; Our Deliverer when we needed to escape from sin; Our Buckler and shield to cover our head and heart so that neither is wounded by the darts of the enemy; Our horn of salvation because he has a powerful salvation; and Our High Tower, a place so high that we can be out of danger. Ps. 18:1,2

So, are you allowing him to be this and more in your life? He is waiting for you and I to let Him be all of these and more because He is the Almighty God.

Are you seeking the Lord?

by Evang. Catherine Davis on 08/16/13

"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jer.29:13. The only way to find the Lord is with all your heart. You got to have a made up mind, and your heart got to be fixed(fixed toward Jesus). You got to be determined that you'll let nothing separate you from the love of God.

We must seek God first. How do I seek the Lord? How do I look for him? You have to seek God by getting into his Word, praying, meditating on the Word, and listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you. When you do this, God will take you to places you could never imagine, and open doors that no man can open and shut doors that no man can shut. That's why it is important to seek God to know his plans for your life.
